Sydney I

Sydney Olympic Park***. The Olympic Games held here in year 2000.
Let me introduce, the left hand side is the famous weight lifter at age 60, diver from Malaysia at the middle and gold metal holder of athlete on the right. Hohoho~~~

The truth is we came to this park to have a picnic lunch and also to the visitor information centre to get information on the caravan parks in Sydney.

Town Hall of Sydney

which is the starting point to calculate for the distance off the Sydney city centre.

After settling up our camp at the Lane Cove River Tourist Park ($49 for 3ppl on powered site, which is the only caravan park nearest the city) we took the train to the city centre. We bought a  weekly MyMulti pass for $51 per pax, which provides access on the train, ferry, bus and tram. This is the most value for money pass if you are staying for more than five days because the ferry ticket is quite expensive.

QVB, Queen Victoria Building in the city. Very beautiful shopping mall.

Sydney Tower Eye, Observation Deck
We did not go to this tower as there are many vantage points for lookouts.

Darling Harbour @ Sunset
It is very relaxing taking a walk around Darling Harbour, pondering on the many cafes and restaurants. Also a great spot for couples. But we had dinner at Chinatown, in one of the foodcourts which offer good value meals!

Had dessert at MeetFresh @ Chinatown. Doesn't taste as good as it looks! SnowFlake RULES!

The fireworks show is performed every Saturday around 8.30pm right at the middle of Cockle Wharf, Darling Harbour. Very spectacular! Lasted for about 5 minutes~ ~

So many people queuing up at this Malaysian Mamak!! Roti canai sells for AUD$5.50!!
Unbelievable!! Malaysia only sell one around AUD$0.40.

The double decker train in Sydney! So nice and spacious~ ~
