So we had to go back to Mt Tamborine and lose half a day and our schedule to Sunshine Coast will be delayed. Then we called the motorhome company and found out that there is a spare key hidden somewhere. We manage to find it after a while and we are able to start the car again! Okay, first problem solved. Second problem, to get the keys back. After a row of discussion we decided to take the keys only when they return to GC.
So off we go, a two hours drive to Noosa Heads. Stopping at this classiz OZ pub by the highway, Ettamogah Pub.
Then we stopped at the Buderim Ginger Factory at Yandina. They sell many products including honey but don't offer much free tasting. If you join their tour, free tasting would be included.
Opposite the ginger factory is the Nutworks chocolate factory which offers a great variety of choc tasting. Yummy...
On our way to Noosa National Park, we stopped at the Australian Nougat Company. There is a small glass window to view the manufacturing process and a small counter to purchase their nougat. But we reckon their nougat is too sweetttt..
Noosa National Park***** a beautiful seaside and the walks around the park is spectacular, especially sunset. There are wild koalas on the gum trees here too! Christie and Ricky went for a dip in the water while we capture these stunning sunset photos till dark.
As we walk back to the carpark, Peter have forgotten his backpack and left it on the rocks by the sea. OMG... P&A had to rush back with torch lights and search for the exact same place we left the bag . It is so difficult to recognize the area once it's dark. We had some trouble, and worry that the tide might come in and wash away our precious passports, IPAD, and camera gear! Our hearts pumping so fast... As the sky gets pitch black.. Finally we found the bag! Phewwww.....
Second lost stuff of the day!
Third trouble came, we haven't book in a powered site in Noosa Heads and there are none available. THe caravan parks here are either closed or they are fully booked. The reception says as we are going north, it would be much more crowded cause everyone is heading north for the winter break. And now we know... Then we manage to get a 4 people villa cabin and powered site for 2 people at Noosa Caravan Park. But we fit all of us in the cabin eventually, more warmth! The most expensive night it is, villa cabin with shower, kitchen and balcony. At least we can cook Bak Kut Teh with the good facility.
Ending our troubled day with a good feast of Bak Kut Teh!! Surely not as good as Klang's but definitely good enough for P&A who haven't eaten BKT for 10 months. YUMS
