Hamilton Garden

The Hamilton Garden @ Hamilton is a must go, cause it's FREE and they have really nice gardens with international appeal. They are open from 7am - 6pm and it's also a nice place for a picnic! Here's LOADS of flowery and leafy pictures for you guys to enjoy.. be patient... lol...

NZ's silver leaf fern, the NZ signature plant that resembles their country.
Actually this plant is quite unique, if you see from the top, it is green colour, then the silver colour in the picture will be seen when you flip it over.

Sunset near Kawhia
From Hamilton, we plan to go to Waitomo. So we chose a coastal route to stop by Kawhia for a night.
Peter was busying taking photos while Angie busying cooking for the our dinner.

Twilight right after the sunset
P&A's view of dinner. No one else there.

That night we free camped at the Kawhia roadhouse, which they generously offer for campervans with toilet facility too. We found a good website with free campsites at Curious Kiwi. Also from the DOC free copy of Camp Sites around North & South Island.
